Optimize how your pages appear in search results and social media shares by customizing SEO titles, meta descriptions, and Open Graph images. These settings help search engines understand your content and can improve your website's visibility.
1. Access page settings
In your website editor, click Page at the top of the screen to open the dropdown menu of all your website pages.
Hover over the page you want to edit (for example, Home) and click the settings icon on the right hand side.
2. Update the page title
In the Details section, edit the Title field. This title appears in search results and browser tabs.
3. Manage page slugs and 301 redirects
The page slug is the unique, URL-friendly part of your page's address (e.g., yourwebsite.com/your-page-slug). Changing a page's slug can impact your search engine ranking if old links are not properly redirected.
In the Details section of the page settings, locate the Slug field.
Enter a new, unique URL-friendly slug for your page. For example, you might change /services to /new-services.
If you change the slug, a checkbox will appear below it: Redirect /old-slug -> /new-slug. Select this checkbox to automatically create a 301 redirect. This ensures that anyone visiting the old URL will be automatically sent to the new URL, preserving your SEO ranking and preventing broken links.
4. Configure SEO settings
Select the SEO section.
Customize these two key elements:
Open Graph image: Choose or upload an image to display when your page is shared on social media.
Click Replace to choose or create a new image.
Meta Description: Add a short, engaging summary (between 110–160 characters) that encourages clicks in search results. You can write this yourself, or use the option to 'Use AI', to have this autogenerated.
5. Publish your changes
Click Publish to make your SEO updates live on your website.
Your SEO settings will now appear in search engine results and social media previews. It may take some time for search engines to index these changes.
