Add a Video Section to Your Website

Learn how to add a dedicated video section to any page on your website, using either a video from the Durable library or a public video URL.

Adding a dedicated video section to your website allows you to showcase engaging visual content, tell your brand story, or highlight products and services in a dynamic way. This article guides you through adding, configuring, and managing a standalone video section on any page of your Durable website.


Add a Video Section to Your Page

  1. From the left-hand menu, click Website.

  2. Click the Page: [Page Name] dropdown menu at the top of the editor and select the page where you want to add the video section.

  3. Scroll to the desired location on the page. Click the blue + Add section button that appears between existing sections or at the top/bottom of the page.

  4. In the 'Add a section' modal, select Feature from the list of available section types.

  5. Scroll to locate the video section and click.

  6. The AI will generate a new video section with a placeholder on your page.


Configure Your Video Content

  1. Click the Edit button (pencil icon) on the newly added video section.

  2. The 'Video URL' modal will appear with two tabs: Gallery and Video URL.

To select a video from the Durable Gallery:

  1. Ensure the Gallery tab is active.

  2. Browse or use the search bar to find a suitable video.

  3. Click on the video thumbnail you wish to use. A checkmark will appear, and the video will preview in your section.

  4. Click Done to apply the video.

To embed a video using a public URL:

  1. Click the Video URL tab.

  2. In the provided text field, paste the full, publicly accessible URL of your video (e.g., a YouTube link, Vimeo link, or a direct link to an MP4 file like https://example.com/your-video.mp4).

  3. The video will preview in your section.

  4. Click Done to embed the video.


Manage Your Video Section

Reposition the section

Use the up and down arrow icons on the section to move it higher or lower on the page.

Delete the section

Click the trash can icon on the section to remove it from your page.

Change the layout

Click the Design button on the section. The Video section currently offers a single, full-width layout option.

Replace or remove the video

  1. Click the Edit content button on the section.

  2. To remove the current video, click Remove.

  3. To add a new video, click + Add video and follow the steps outlined in the 'Configure Your Video Content' section above.


Publish Your Changes

Once you are satisfied with your video section and any other edits, click the Publish button in the top right corner of the editor to make your changes live on your website.
