When to Use a Banner Section
Banner sections work best when you want to:
Make a strong first impression with a headline and supporting text
Highlight a core service, promotion, or value proposition
Guide visitors toward a primary call to action
Visually anchor the top of a page or separate major sections
They are commonly placed:
At the very top of a page as a hero section
At the start of a new page to introduce its purpose
Between sections to re-engage visitors with a new message
Add the Banner Section
Click Add Section on your page.
Article_Template
Select Banner from the section list.
Click the Banner layout you want to add it to your page.
Choose a Banner Layout
After adding the section, open Design.
In Design, you will see two tabs: Layout and Customize.
Layout tab
Use Layout to browse available Banner layouts and preview different designs. Once you’ve selected a layout, click Done to apply it.
Customize the Banner
Open Design, then click the Customize tab to adjust the Banner’s appearance. Depending on the Banner layout you chose, customization options may include:
Background image
Fill viewport (toggle)
Vertical alignment (Top, Center, Bottom)
Circles (number)
Click Done to save your changes.
Edit Orbit Items
Some Banner layouts include an additional option on the section, for example Edit orbit items. This is used to manage the rotating or orbiting media elements shown in that Banner design.
To update orbit items:
Click Edit orbit items on the Banner section.
From the list, you can reorder items using the drag handle, edit an item (pencil icon), or remove it (trash icon).
Click Edit on an item to update its settings, such as:
Item image (Image tab)
Keyword (Keyword tab, if available)
Aspect ratio (Portrait, Landscape, Square)
Click Done to save.
Best Practices
Use a high-quality background image that matches your brand.
Article_Template
Keep your headline short and easy to scan.
Make your call-to-action button clear and action-focused.
If using orbit items, keep the set consistent in style and subject.
Test vertical alignment to ensure text remains readable across devices.
Avoid overcrowding the Banner with too much text
