Setting Your Background

The right background sets the tone for your design! Here's how to customize it:

  1. In the right sidebar, click Background.

  2. You can choose from a selection of preset colors (like black or white) or click Custom to open a color picker and select any shade you desire. For example, you might choose a light green for a fresh, spring-themed campaign.

  3. You can also select an image from your existing image library or upload a new one to use as your background.

Adding and Editing Images

Bring your designs to life with captivating images:

  1. In the right sidebar, click Images.

  2. You can search your existing image library (e.g., type 'rain' to find relevant images) or click the upload icon to add new images from your device.

  3. Simply drag and drop your chosen image onto the canvas.

  4. Image Controls: Once an image is selected, a control bar will appear above it, offering several options:

    • Resize: Easily adjust the image size by dragging the white dots on its corners.

    • Rotate: Use the circular handle at the bottom center of the image to rotate it to any angle.

    • Border Radius: Use the slider to round the corners of your image, creating a softer look.

    • Border Width: Increase or decrease the thickness of the image's border.

    • Border Color: Select a color for your image's border.

    • Replace: Quickly swap out the current image with another from your library without losing its position or size.

    • Order: Use the up/down arrows to move the image forward or backward in your design's layers.

    • Delete: Remove the image by clicking the trash can icon or pressing the Delete key on your keyboard.

Crafting Compelling Text

Communicate your message with stylish text:

  1. In the right sidebar, click Text styles.

  2. Browse through a variety of pre-designed text styles (e.g., 'Glow,' 'Retro,' 'Headline'). Drag and drop your preferred style onto the canvas.

  3. Double-click the text to edit it. For instance, you could type 'Spring Showers April Sale'.

  4. Text Controls: A control bar will appear above your selected text:

    • Font: Choose from a wide range of fonts to match your brand's aesthetic.

    • Size: Select a preset size (e.g., Extra small, Huge) or enter a custom pixel value for precise control.

    • Color: Change the text color using the color picker.

    • Alignment: Align your text to the left, center, or right.

    • Opacity: Adjust the transparency of your text using the slider.

    • Order: Move text layers up or down to ensure proper visibility.

    • Delete: Remove the text by clicking the trash can icon or pressing Delete.

Incorporating Shapes

Add visual interest and structure with shapes:

  1. In the right sidebar, click Shapes.

  2. Choose from a selection of basic shapes like squares, circles, triangles, stars, hexagons, pentagons, diamonds, lines, and arrows. Drag and drop your chosen shape onto the canvas.

  3. Shape Controls: A control bar will appear above your selected shape:

    • Fill Color: Select a color to fill the shape, or choose 'Transparent' if you only want an outline.

    • Stroke Width: Adjust the thickness of the shape's outline.

    • Stroke Color: Select a color for the shape's outline.

    • Opacity: Control the shape's transparency using the slider.

    • Order: Adjust the layer position of your shape.

    • Delete: Remove the shape by clicking the trash can icon or pressing Delete.

Managing Layers and Objects

Canvas makes it easy to arrange all your design elements:

  • Layering: Use the up/down arrow controls in the object's control bar to move elements forward or backward, ensuring they appear in the correct order.

  • Keyboard Shortcuts: For quick edits, use Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z on Mac) to undo your last action, and Ctrl+Y (or Cmd+Y on Mac) to redo. You can also delete selected objects by pressing the Delete key.
