When you are ready to bill a customer, you can create an invoice in Durable and send it by email. The invoice includes your business details and logo, and your customer gets a payment link if payments are turned on.
Create and send an invoice
Open the Durable dashboard and click Invoices in the left-hand menu.
Click + New invoice.
Your business details and logo are added from the header in the Website Editor. If something is missing or wrong, update it in Settings (gear icon in the left sidebar) > Business details.
Add your customer's name, email address, and business information.
Fill in the invoice information:
Invoice number: Durable fills this in, and you can edit it.
Invoice date and due date: pick the dates from the calendar.
Currency: choose the currency from the dropdown.
Under Items, click + Add Item for each product or service.
Enter a description, quantity, and rate. The total is calculated for you.
Add another item if you need one.
If you need them, click tax or discount below the item list.
Check the subtotal, tax, discount, and total at the bottom of the invoice.
Use Notes if you want to add a message for your customer.
When it looks right, click Send invoice in the bottom right corner of the modal.
Confirm the recipient's email address, add a message if you want, and click Send.
Your customer receives the invoice by email. If payments are enabled, the email includes a link to pay, and the payment page and receipt use your business branding. See How to Enable Payments in Durable.
To keep a copy, go back to Invoices, open the invoice, click the three-dot menu, and select Download or Print.
If you are not ready to send it, click Save Draft instead. You can open that draft later from the Invoices list.
