Manually Adding a New Customer
Durable's Customers section allows you to keep track of all your client interactions and information. You can easily add new customers manually to build out your contact list.
From your Durable dashboard, navigate to the Customers section in the left-hand menu.
On the Customers page, click the + Add customer button. This will open a new customer profile form.
Filling in Customer Details
When adding a new customer, you'll be prompted to fill in their essential contact information. Providing comprehensive details helps you manage your customer relationships effectively.
In the New customer form, enter the customer's details:
First name: e.g., Jane
Last name: e.g., Doe
Email: e.g., [email protected]
Phone number: e.g., (555) 123-4567
Address: e.g., 123 Main St, Anytown, USA
Any other relevant standard fields.
Once you have entered all the necessary information, click the Save button to create the new customer profile.
Using Custom Fields in a Profile
Beyond the standard fields, Durable allows you to add custom fields to capture unique information relevant to your business. These fields can be added to customer profiles to ensure you have all the data you need.
For detailed instructions on how to create and manage these personalized data points, refer to our article: Add and Manage Custom Fields for Your Contacts.

Initiating Contact from a Profile
The customer profile page provides quick access to communicate with your clients directly.
If an email address is present, you can click on it to open your default email client and compose a new message.
If a phone number is present, you can click on it to initiate a call from your device (if configured).
You can also add notes, send messages, or create invoices directly from the customer's profile. For more information on managing these interactions, see our article Managing Customer Interactions: Messages, Notes, and Invoices.
