Add legal details for a U.S. company you already formed. This does not file with the state or get an EIN.

Who this is for: You already have a legally formed U.S. company.
Adding details for an already formed business does not file with the state, get an EIN, or provide a registered agent. It adds legal details so Durable can keep that information accurate throughout the product. Manually added business details are kept in memory to give Durable more context and insight across all features, helping create a more personalized experience.

Add legal details for a U.S. company you already formed:

  1. Navigate to the Business Formation section from the left-hand menu.

  2. Select the option for Already have a formed business? then click Add your details.

  3. Enter your Legal entity name (e.g., "Your Business LLC").

  4. Choose your Entity type from the dropdown (e.g., LLC, C-Corp, Partnership, Sole Proprietorship, Other).

  5. Select your State of formation from the dropdown.

  6. Specify your Fiscal year end by selecting the month and day.

  7. Click Save.

These details will be saved and can be viewed or edited later under Settings > Business details. See Edit Your Business Information.
