Accessing Your Blog Settings
Follow these steps to navigate to the blog settings panel where you can configure your blog's appearance and URL.
Navigate to Website in the left-hand menu.
Click the Settings icon (a slider icon) in the top right corner of the website editor.
In the "Site settings" pop-up, select Blog settings from the left-hand menu.
Click General, Header, or Footer under "Blog settings" to access the desired configurations.
Adjusting General Blog Post Display Options
Control the overall layout and information displayed on each of your blog posts, including content width, author details, and sharing options.
Content Width
Narrow: Provides a focused reading experience with less horizontal space.
Medium: A balanced width for readability and content display.
Wide: Maximizes horizontal space for content, suitable for images or wider layouts.
Display Options
Toggle these options on or off to control what information appears on your blog posts:
Author: Displays the name of the post's author.
Publish date: Shows when the blog post was published.
Read time: Provides an estimated reading duration for the post.
Categories: Displays the categories or tags assigned to the post.
Related posts: Suggests other relevant articles to readers.
Share buttons: Allows readers to easily share your blog post on social media.
Blog URL
Customize the URL slug for your main blog page. For example, you can change yourdomain.durable.site/blog to yourdomain.durable.site/updates or yourdomain.durable.site/articles to create a more descriptive or branded address.
To adjust these general settings:
Follow the steps under "Accessing Your Blog Settings" and select General.
Select your preferred Content width from the options.
Toggle the various display Options on or off as desired.
In the Blog URL field, enter your custom slug.
Customizing Your Blog Post Header
Choose from various pre-built header templates to define the visual style at the top of each blog post.
Classic: A standard, text-focused header for your blog post title.
Hero: Features a prominent section at the top, often with a large image or featured content.
Minimal: A compact, shrunken-down header design.
Magazine: Presents your blog post title in a style reminiscent of a magazine headline.
To customize your blog post header:
Follow the steps under "Accessing Your Blog Settings" and select Header.
Choose your desired header template from the available options.
Customizing Your Blog Post Footer
Select a footer template to control the information and navigation elements displayed at the bottom of each blog post.
Complete: Includes social channels, related posts, and navigation for previous/next articles.
Related Posts: Focuses on displaying related articles and social sharing options.
Navigation: Provides previous/next article navigation and social sharing links.
Minimal: Displays only social sharing links.
All colors and stylization for your blog's header and footer are inherited from your main website's design, ensuring a consistent brand look.
To customize your blog post footer:
Follow the steps under "Accessing Your Blog Settings" and select Footer.
Choose your desired footer template from the available options.
Changes to your blog settings are saved automatically as you make them.
