The Blog Agent helps you create, edit, and publish posts for your business. You'll find it under Agents → Blog in your dashboard.

To customize how those posts look on your website, open Site settings using the gear in the upper-right corner of the website editor, then choose Blog. This article covers the reading width, displayed post details, header and footer templates, and your main blog URL. You can also use Dru to add or redesign a section that highlights your blog on another website page.

Add or redesign a blog section with Dru

To highlight your blog on an ordinary website page, ask Dru to add a blog section or change the layout and wording around the posts. For example: “Add a blog section to my homepage.”

You can also select Add section at the top or bottom edge of a section, then choose Browse designs → Blog in the panel on the right and select a design. Review its heading and link to the blog. Use Edit manually beside the input in the Dru panel on the right for the fields available in that section.

Open blog design settings

  1. Open your website in the editor.

  2. Open Site settings and select Blog.

  3. Choose General for the content width, display options, and blog URL; Header for the post header template; or Footer for the post footer template.

These settings control the presentation of your individual blog posts. Use the controls below to make the same design choices across your posts.

Adjust blog presentation

In Site settings → Blog → General, choose a Content width:

  • Narrow: a focused reading area with less horizontal space.

  • Medium: a balanced width for reading and displaying content.

  • Wide: more horizontal space for content, images, or wider layouts.

Under Options, choose whether to show:

  • Author: the author's name on posts.

  • Publish date: when the post was published.

  • Read time: estimated reading time.

  • Categories: categories or tags assigned to the post.

  • Related posts: suggestions for further reading.

  • Share buttons: actions readers can use to share posts on social media.

Turn each option on or off to choose what readers see. For example, hiding the author or publish date changes its display on the post.

Customize the blog URL

The Blog URL field changes the slug for your main blog page: the part of the address after your domain.

  1. Open Site settings → Blog → General.

  2. Find Blog URL.

  3. Enter the slug you want to use. For example, change blog to updates or articles.

With the slug updates, an address such as yourdomain.durable.site/blog becomes yourdomain.durable.site/updates. Check links that send visitors to your blog after changing the address.

Choose a blog post header

Open Site settings → Blog → Header and choose a template for the top of each post:

  • Classic: a standard, text-focused header for the post title.

  • Hero: a prominent header section, often with a large image or featured content.

  • Minimal: a compact header design.

  • Magazine: a magazine-style headline treatment.

Choose a blog post footer

Open Site settings → Blog → Footer and choose the information and navigation shown at the bottom of each post:

  • Complete: social channels, related posts, and previous/next article navigation.

• Related Posts: related articles and social sharing options.

  • Navigation: previous/next article navigation and social sharing links.

  • Minimal: social sharing links only.

Blog header and footer colors and styling are inherited from your main website design, so they stay consistent with your site. Follow Change colors, fonts, corners, and layouts to update the shared colors and fonts and review their effect across the website.

Review the design

Blog settings save automatically as you change them. Preview an individual post to check its width, displayed details, header, and footer. Check desktop and mobile views, and open related-post, sharing, and navigation links to review the reader's experience.

If you added or redesigned a blog section on another website page, preview that section and its link to the main blog too.
