This article guides you through the process of activating your Website Lead Agent and connecting your business email. By following these steps, you'll enable automated, AI-powered responses to inquiries submitted through your Durable website's contact form, streamlining your lead management.

Accessing the Website Lead Agent

  1. From your Durable dashboard, locate the left-hand navigation panel.

  2. Under the Agents section, click Website Leads.

Activating the Agent

  1. On the Website Leads dashboard, click the Start Agent button.

  2. You will see a chat interface appear, displaying a welcome message from your Website Leads Assistant, indicating the agent is ready to begin.

Connecting Your Email Account

  1. When the agent drafts its first reply (this can be triggered by a simulated lead or a real inquiry), you will see an 'Approve email send' section.

  2. Click the Connect Gmail button.

  3. Follow the prompts to sign in with your Google account.

  4. Grant Durable permission to 'Send email on your behalf' by clicking Allow.

  5. Once connected, the Connect Gmail button will change, indicating your email is ready to send approved replies.

Verifying Agent Status

  1. In the right-hand panel of the Website Leads screen, ensure the Website Leads toggle is set to Enabled.

  2. This panel also displays any chat history with the agent, confirming its activity and any drafted responses.

Tip: Connecting your email account ensures that all AI-drafted responses can be sent directly from the primary email address of your connected Google account, maintaining a professional and consistent brand voice for your customer communications.
