Your website address gives customers a way to find and return to your business online. You can ask Dru for help finding or connecting a domain, or manage it through Domains in site settings. This guide also shows you where to find a preview link when you want feedback before publishing.
Ask Dru for domain help
Ask Dru to search for an available domain, buy a domain, or connect one. Review and approve each proposed step before it proceeds. Check the exact domain spelling, price, renewal details, and connection destination before approving a purchase or connection.
Domain payments use a checkout card. Enter payment information only in that checkout flow, never in Dru chat.
For a domain bought elsewhere, Dru cannot edit DNS at the external registrar. Follow Durable's connection instructions and make the required DNS changes in your registrar account, then verify the connection status.
Open domain settings
In the website editor, open site settings using the gear in the upper-right corner, then select Domains. Review the current domain or subdomain and the options available for your account.
Connect a domain you already own
Choose Connect a domain you already own and follow the connection steps shown. You will need access to the domain's DNS settings at its registrar. Use the exact DNS records Durable provides rather than copying values from another website.
After changing DNS, allow the connection status to update and verify the site at the intended address. Do not remove unrelated email records while setting up a website domain. See Connect an Existing Custom Domain to Your Website for provider-specific guidance.
Get a new domain
Use the new/custom-domain option to search for an available name. Review the eligibility, price, and renewal details shown in your account before proceeding. Domain availability and included benefits depend on the offered plan.
Check publishing separately
A connected domain and a published website are separate pieces of setup. Follow Preview, save, publish, and manage visibility to choose Published, Preview mode, or Private visibility and check what visitors can access at the connected address.
Share a preview
You can share the preview domain before publishing. Open Publish in the upper-right toolbar and choose Copy link. Open the copied address to check what another visitor will see. Choose Mobile preview in the same panel to show a QR code you can scan on your phone. A preview-mode site is hidden from search until published and displays a preview banner. Sharing the link still lets its recipients view it; use Private visibility when you do not want a shareable preview.
