Review changes and undo with History

Reverse an available edit from History or undo a change made by Dru.

Sometimes a change looks different from what you had in mind. You can ask Dru to undo its own supported edits or use the editor's undo controls and History to reverse an available change. Here's how to review the result and choose the right option for the edit you made.

Undo a Dru change

Ask Dru to undo one of its own earlier changes, including a change from a previous session. Describe the change and affected page or section clearly, such as “Undo the heading rewrite you made on the About page in our previous session.” Check the result before continuing. This applies to Dru's own supported edits, not edits you made by hand.

A completed Dru result may also include Undo. This is separate from a manual Design entry's original-tab limits. Select it to reverse that Dru change—for example, removing a section Dru just added—then inspect the affected content. Show on page helps you find the result before deciding.

You can also use Cmd+Z on Mac or Ctrl+Z on Windows for the latest supported editor change. If an input field has focus, the shortcut may apply to text in that field; check the result.

Undo from History

  1. Open History using the clock-and-arrow icon in the upper-right corner of the editor, beside Site settings.

  2. Find the change you want to reverse. Entries show a description and time.

  3. Open the entry and follow the undo options or limits shown. Some manual changes can only be undone in the original tab before reloading.

  4. Review the page after the reversal. An entry can show Undone, and the editor saves the resulting change.

For a manual Design change, the entry may direct you to the original tab to use Undo, Ctrl+Z, or ⌘Z before reloading. History does not guarantee that every listed change can be restored. Review the page before you publish.

Know the boundaries

Dru cannot inspect and reverse your manual edits on your behalf. Use the editor's own undo controls for those edits. Manual undo after reloading is not supported. Translation, uploaded files, publishing, and changes to Sell items are not ordinary page edits that Dru can undo.

If the change you need is unavailable in History, make a new, specific request to Dru for a supported change, or correct the content manually. Undoing an edit does not replace checking your site's published state. Use Preview, save, publish, and manage visibility to review whether visitors can access the website after a reversal.
