Edit page content with Dru or manually

Ask Dru to update your page, or use inline editing and manual fields.

Keeping your website up to date can mean anything from correcting a phone number to refreshing an entire section. Describe the change to Dru, then review it on the page, or use inline editing and manual fields for a precise adjustment.

Select the content first

Open a page and click the content you want to change. Check its blue outline and the selection label in Dru's input. A selected heading limits the request differently from a selected section or page.

Ask Dru to make a change

  1. Select the target.

  2. Describe the outcome in the input, such as “Shorten this heading to six words” or “Move the image to the right and keep the text on the left.”

  3. Send the request and wait while Dru works. You can move around the canvas and select content while Dru works. Wait for it to finish before opening Edit manually or publishing.

  4. Read the response and inspect the actual page. Use the result's navigation action to locate the change: it may say Show on page, Show Home, or show linked section text.

  5. If needed, refine the request or use Undo on the result.

Following Dru and Stop following control whether the canvas follows Dru's work. Stop following is separate from Stop, which stops the current request.

Be specific about what should stay the same. A request about shared button styling may affect more than one button; read any clarification before confirming it.

Edit manually

  1. Select the section or object.

  2. Choose Edit manually beside the chat input.

  3. Edit the fields available for that selection. Text, images, links, and lists depend on the section's design.

  4. Open an individual list item to edit its details. Use add, reorder, or delete controls where the panel provides them.

  5. Choose Done to apply the panel changes, or Cancel to leave them. Ask Dru returns you to the conversational route.

You can also click text on the page and select words to format them inline. Manual editing works on one selected object at a time. If the selection has no editable fields, describe the change to Dru instead. Text suggestions such as making wording shorter or friendlier also use Dru.

For image cropping or positioning, use the image's manual controls rather than asking Dru to guess the crop. Follow Add, replace, and position images to choose or replace an image and check its crop on desktop and mobile.

Change a detail across your website

Dru can rewrite text in the header and footer as well as page sections. It can also update a phone number, email address, or other detail across the site in one request.

Provide the exact replacement and say that the scope is the whole website. For example: “Replace the old contact email with [email protected] everywhere on the website, including the header and footer.” Replace the example address with your real address before sending. Review each affected page, visible contact detail, and contact link afterward. Supply accurate business details rather than asking Dru to invent them.

Attach a reference or dictate

Use + beside the microphone in Dru's right-side input to attach a file or select an existing image. Explain how Dru should use it. You can also select the microphone, grant permission if prompted, dictate, and review the text before sending.

If Dru pauses

If Dru shows a usage message and offers Continue, read the message and use that option to resume. Follow the allowance, eligibility, and any pricing information shown in your account.

Review and save

Changes save as you go. Check text, images, links, and mobile preview before publishing. Dru's explanation is useful context, but the rendered page is the result to review. Use History (the clock-and-arrow icon in the upper right, beside Site settings) for available manual undo actions and the result's Undo for a Dru change.
