Give visitors a way to buy what your business offers, right from your Durable website. Whether you’re selling handmade items, downloadable artwork or a service package, Sell brings your items and incoming orders together in one place.
Where to find Sell
From your Durable dashboard, select Sell in the left sidebar. Use the Items tab at the top of the Sell page to create and manage your items. Use the Orders tab at the top of the same page to review purchases and update fulfillment statuses; this tab appears after you list an item.
Your storefront is the customer-facing part of your website. An all-items section lets visitors browse your listed items together. Selecting an item opens its individual details, including images and a description. Manage the all-items section on your website pages in the website editor, and manage item details and orders in Sell.
Sell or Bookings?
Sell and Bookings help customers buy from you in different ways. With Sell, customers purchase an item. With Bookings, they choose an available time for an appointment. You can offer both on the same website, with a separate checkout for each.
For example, a photographer can take photo-session bookings and sell downloadable wall art. To start accepting appointments, learn how to set up Bookings.
See our video, that covers both and helps you decide which is best for your Business:
Your path to your first sale
Here’s a quick overview of getting ready to sell. Follow the linked guides for help with each step.
Set up shipping rates if you’ll ship items. For physical or made-to-order items you plan to ship, prepare your shop’s prices and delivery estimates before creating items. The shipping guide walks you through setup; skip this step for digital downloads, services or pickup-only items.
Create your items. Start with what you’d like to sell, whether that’s a physical item, digital download or service. The item setup guide walks you through choosing a type and adding your description, price and images.
Choose delivery options. Think about how customers will receive their purchase, such as a shipped item, local pickup or a downloadable file. Follow the delivery setup steps for the options that apply to your items.
List your items. Keep an item as a draft while you work, then list it when the details are ready. When you accept the first-item prompt, an all-items section is added to your homepage. Learn how to list and manage your items, including how to make changes later.
Enable payments. Sell uses Durable Payments to process payments for your sales. If you haven’t enabled it yet, the setup guide walks you through getting ready to accept payments from customers.
Get your storefront ready. Make sure visitors can find your all-items section on your homepage or another website page. The storefront guide explains the difference between this catalog and an individual item page, and where to manage each.
Manage incoming orders. When a sale comes in, review the purchase and keep track of the work needed to fulfill it. See how to manage customer orders for help reviewing order details and updating fulfillment statuses.
